CHALLENGE IN ADHERENCE TO CONGENITAL SYPHILIS TREATMENT DURING PREGNANCY

Objective: challenges in adhering to congenital syphilis treatment during pregnancy Methods: An integrative review of the literature, containing the following guiding question: What are the challenges in adhering to congenital syphilis treatment during pregnancy? To create this question, the PICO strategy was used, in which “p” population: Women with congenital syphilis during pregnancy, “I” interest: Assessment of the challenge of adherence to congenital syphilis treatment during pregnancy, and “C” and “The” context: Description of the challenge of adhering to congenital syphilis treatment during pregnancy. An advanced search was used through the Virtual Health Library (VHL), crossing the descriptors using the Boolean operators “AND” and “OR”. Results: Through advanced research, a total of 52 articles were obtained, of which 4 were used to compose the discussion. Conclusion: Furthermore, it is concluded that the doctor and other health professionals are of utmost importance during the treatment of congenital syphilis, they must offer health education, resolve doubts and encourage treatment.
