Abstract

The legislation provides, through article 118 of Law No. 8,213/91, stability for insured employees who have suffered a work-related accident, for a period of 12 months after the cessation of sickness benefit due to an accident, regardless of whether they receive an accident benefit. Stability due to a work-related accident is applied as a way of ensuring that workers' rights are assured, even if they are no longer able to perform their activities.
