Human papillomavirus (HPV) infection is the most common infection in the world. This fact is important given its relationship with cervical cancer and other cancers. In addition, people living with the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) are more susceptible to HPV infection and have greater associated risks. That is, compared to the general population, people living with HIV have a higher risk of developing cervical cancers and other cancers predisposed to HPV. Hence, HPV vaccination is recommended for people living with HIV. Therefore, the present study, descriptive and retrospective, of a quantitative nature, aims to evaluate and collect the vaccination rate against HPV in women living with HIV in order to analyze health actions and discuss strategies for reducing subsequent risks.
