This study investigates the epidemiological profile of viral hepatitis in the state of Paraná between 2012 and 2022, using data from DATASUS. During this period, 29,588 cases were reported, with a predominance among men and individuals of working age, especially in the age groups of 20 to 39 years and 40 to 59 years. Most of those infected identified as white (75%) or brown, highlighting social inequalities that influence access to information and treatment. Hepatitis B and C were the most prevalent, with 17,375 cases reactive for HBsAg and 11,606 for Anti-HCV, highlighting the importance of continuous efforts in prevention and control. The analysis showed a peak in cases in 2015, followed by a downward trend in the following years, as a result of awareness campaigns, vaccination, and improved access to diagnosis. However, the study reinforces the need for specific strategies for vulnerable groups, such as drug users and individuals with low levels of education, in addition to expanding educational interventions and access to treatment, aiming to minimize the burden of viral hepatitis in the state and promote greater equity in public health policies.
