Abstract

Unions play a crucial role in promoting equal pay and defending labor rights. Through collective bargaining, supervision, equality promotion and legal assistance, unions fight to guarantee fair wage increases and combat discriminatory practices. Although they face challenges such as the reduction in union membership, changes in labor legislation and globalization, union action is fundamental to a fairer and more equitable work environment.  The article aims to demonstrate that strengthening unions and implementing public policies are essential to reduce wage inequality and promote a fairer and more inclusive society.
