Tuberculosis (TB) is a severe ancient infectious disease, with the Bacillus of Koch (BK) as its etiological agent. The clinical presentation is mainly pulmonary, and symptoms such as productive cough, low diurnal fever, nocturnal sweats, and signs of weight loss can serve as diagnostic markers. Although it affects all social strata, the disease is closely associated with low socioeconomic aspects, acting as a significant social indicator. The current global scenario demonstrates a clear distribution of TB, with 80% of cases concentrated in 22 developing countries, including Brazil, ranking 17th. In contrast, the state of Paraná, according to the Epidemiological Data Report on TB released in 2020 by the federal government, ranks only 23rd out of the 27 federative states of Brazil in terms of disease incidence. Objective: To determine the epidemiological behavior of tuberculosis in children and adolescents in the state of Paraná over the past 12 years (2013-2022). Methodology: This will be a retrospective cross-sectional study, employing a quantitative and descriptive approach. Data provided by the federal government on the TABNET/DATASUS digital platform, originating from SINAN, will be collected, tabulated, analyzed, and compared. These data pertain to the occurrence and epidemiological variables of tuberculosis in children and adolescents in the state of Paraná from 2013 to 2022.
