Rocking consists of a procedure to promote soil remineralization using crushed rock material that contains the nutrients necessary for the good development of cultivars. The use of rocking has been recommended for use by farmers due to the significant increase in the price of inputs, since the procedure for crushing rocks does not involve high costs. Thus, it is clear that the economic factor is decisive in the view of the rural producer, and the study of cheap ways to replace nutrients is of extreme importance. The use of crushed rocks is recommended in Brazil for soils from the Cerrado and similar regions, since these require the replacement of nutrients between harvests. Using two soils characteristic of the Cerrado in Minas Gerais, an oxisol and a cambisol, bench tests over the course of three months were used to verify the availability of mineral elements from the rock for the two different types of soil.
