ESTIGMA DA SEXUALIDADE E SEUS EFEITOS: UMA REVISÃO DA LITERATURA SOBRE PREVENÇÃO E VIOLÊNCIA SEXUAL

Abstract

Stigma linked to sexuality concerns the prejudice and discrimination that individuals face because of their sexual identities or behaviors that do not conform to established cultural norms. This research aims to investigate what academic production we have in relation to the topic of Sexual Education and its relationship with the stigmas of sexuality, sexual violence and its prevention. The research data were obtained from a bibliographic survey carried out at the Brazilian Digital Library of Theses and Dissertations over the last ten years. Through mapping, it was concluded that there is a need for more systematic interventions in school spaces and the denotation of a lack of comprehensive policies that integrate sexual education into the school curriculum as a tool to prevent abuse and violence.     Stigma linked to sexuality concerns the prejudice and discrimination that individuals face because of their sexual identities or behaviors that do not conform to established cultural norms.
