Introduction: Juvenile systemic lupus erythematosus (JSLE) is a complex autoimmune disease that predominantly affects children and adolescents, manifesting with a diversity of symptoms that significantly include dermatological manifestations. These cutaneous alterations can range from malar erythema to discoid lesions and urticaria, impacting not only the physical health but also the quality of life of young patients. The interrelationship between dermatology and pediatrics is essential for the effective management of JSLE, since dermatologists often deal with cutaneous manifestations, while pediatricians monitor the general development and integral health of patients. A multidisciplinary approach is crucial to optimize diagnosis, treatment, and support for patients and their families. Objective: To analyze the dermatological manifestations in patients with juvenile systemic lupus erythematosus, highlighting the importance of collaboration between dermatology and pediatrics. Methodology: The research was conducted following the PRISMA checklist guidelines, using the PubMed, SciELO and Web of Science databases. Five descriptors were used: "juvenile systemic lupus erythematosus", "dermatological manifestations", "pediatric dermatology", "autoimmunity" and "treatment". The inclusion criteria were articles published in the last 10 years, studies that addressed young patients with JSLE and those that discussed the relationship between dermatology and pediatrics. Exclusion criteria included non-original reviews, studies outside the pediatric scope and articles in languages other than Portuguese, English or Spanish. Results: The results revealed a diversity of cutaneous manifestations, with malar erythema, discoid lesions and photosensitivity standing out as the most common. The review highlighted the importance of early diagnosis and the need for an integrated treatment, which considers both the dermatological approach and the pediatric implications of JSLE. Multidisciplinary interventions have proven effective in improving the quality of life of patients. Conclusion: The analysis of dermatological manifestations in patients with juvenile systemic lupus erythematosus highlights the need for a collaborative approach between dermatology and pediatrics. Early identification and appropriate management of cutaneous manifestations are essential to improve the prognosis and quality of life of young people affected by the disease.
