This article aims to investigate the contribution of philosopher Immanuel Kant to the foundations of contemporary ethical and legal principles, using a bibliographical research methodology. The study initially addresses Kant's concept of Law, based on the idea of freedom and the coexistence of individual liberties under a system of just laws. It then examines Kantian ethics, centered on categorical imperatives, which establish morality through universal rules, independent of personal inclinations or consequences. The article also analyzes Kant’s legacy to Law, highlighting the influence of his ideas on fundamental legal principles, such as the autonomy of the will and human dignity. Finally, the study emphasizes the relevance of Kantian philosophy in shaping legal morality based on justice, rationality, and respect for fundamental rights.
