This work deals with an ongoing research project that proposes the investigation of the work of teachers who work in the field of formal education carried out in a prison in the care of people in a situation of imprisonment through the application of the methodological device of instruction to the lookalike. This instrument has been developed in the theoretical framework of the Activity Clinic, which is inserted in the field of Work Psychology, and has as its epistemological root the Historical- Cultural Psychology of Vygotsky. Specifically, the objective of this research is to (re) know the constituent aspects of the daily work of teachers who work in formal education processes with inmates of prisons in a city in the west of São Paulo and, in a process of co-analysis of labor activity, identify the potential aspects and difficulties of this work and the alternative ways of realizing it, aiming at the transmutation of labor. At the end of the work it is expected to present how the application of the method and its results was performed in order to record how and in which the device contributed to the transformation of the work of the professional and to the formation of a collective of workers, as well as the production of knowledge about the craft and its modifications by the workers themselves. In addition, the device will be applied comparatively to the requirements of the Clinic of the Activity in order to adapt and produce a technical protocol of application of instruction to the semester more coherent to the Brazilian context.
