This article analyzes species conservation as a crucial issue for the sustainability of the planet and the maintenance of biodiversity. As human activity expands, many species face increasing threats, such as habitat destruction, pollution, climate change and overexploitation. These threats have a direct impact on biodiversity and the ecosystems that sustain life on Earth. The importance of species conservation goes beyond the protection of individual organisms, as it is closely linked to the health of ecosystems and human well-being. Each species plays a specific role in the ecological balance, contributing to essential functions such as pollination, pest regulation and nutrient cycling. The loss of a single species can trigger a cascade of negative effects that affect the entire web of life. It is emphasized that to address this global challenge, it is necessary to adopt an integrated approach that combines conservation in protected areas, restoration of degraded habitats, sustainable development policies and environmental education. International organizations, governments and local communities must collaborate to implement effective conservation strategies, including the creation of nature reserves, the promotion of sustainable agricultural practices and the regulation of trade in endangered species. Public awareness and engagement are essential to ensure that species conservation becomes a global priority.
