This article sought to review the literature on the use of low-power lasers in healing and recovery in dental treatments. The research was conducted through a qualitative bibliographic review, covering studies published between 2019 and 2024 in the SciELO, Web of Science and Scopus databases. The descriptors used included “Low intensity laser”, “Dental treatments”, “Healing”, “Laser therapy”, ‘’Dental Treatment’’ and ‘’Tissue Regeneration’’. Ten studies were identified that met the selection criteria. The analysis of these publications indicated that the low-power laser is a promising tool in dentistry, being used in areas such as surgery, periodontics, treatment of dentin hypersensitivity, orthodontics, extraction and endodontics. The laser has demonstrated effectiveness in accelerating cell regeneration and healing damaged tissues, when compared to other therapies. However, the study highlights the need for more research to deepen understanding of the benefits of low-power lasers in dental practice.
