EVIDENCE FOR THE USE OF LOW-POWER LASERS IN ENDODONTIC TREATMENTS: AN INTEGRATIVE LITERATURE REVIEW

Abstract

The study reviewed the literature on the use of low-power laser in endodontic treatments, analyzing studies published between 2019 and 2024 in the Scopus, Web of Science and Scielo databases. Ten studies were included that addressed terms such as “Endodontics”, “Low Intensity Light Therapy” and “Laser Therapy”. The analysis revealed that low-power laser is a promising tool in endodontics, demonstrating efficacy in reducing post-operative pain, biostimulation, canal disinfection and healing. Although the results are more research is needed to deepen knowledge about the benefits of low-power laser in endodontic treatments.
