RURAL PATROL AND SECURITY IN THE STATE OF PARANÁ: IMPORTANCE, CHALLENGES, INNOVATIONS AND RESULTS

Abstract

This article sought to explore the specificities of crime in rural areas and the strategic response provided by the Rural Patrol, showing its importance, innovations and also the challenges of this type of police work. In this work we show that the expansion of agribusiness and the concentration of wealth in rural properties have influenced the increase in criminal actions and how they occur, and with this, we observe the need for a specialized approach to face the unique challenges of these regions. A methodological approach based on bibliographical research was used, where several articles and publications on the subject were analyzed to provide a comprehensive and critical view. The work shows how the Rural Patrol emerges as an innovative solution, offering not only a constant police presence, but also close collaboration with the local community, the initiative focuses on preventive activities, integration of modern technologies and proximity policing, with the objective to build an effective protection network that improves the security and resilience of rural areas in the face of criminal threats.
