This study addresses the midline diastema, characterized by the space between the central upper incisors, affecting both the aesthetics and oral functionality of patients. The analysis includes the causes of diastema, highlighting genetic factors, pacifier use, elongated labial frenum, and differences in tooth size. The study also discusses the psychological and social impacts of this condition, along with the challenges associated with treatment and the high recurrence rate. Orthodontic and restorative treatments, including frenectomy and the importance of proper tooth movement, were examined. The need for a personalized and multidisciplinary approach is emphasized to ensure the effectiveness and long-term stability of results. It is concluded that continuous follow-up and patient education are essential for the successful treatment of midline diastema, aiming to improve the quality of life for affected individuals.Furthermore, this situation had a negative impact on the quality of their training as dentists due to the need for remote classes during the period.
