Resilience and emotional intelligence (EI) are essential skills for healthcare professionals, where emotions can directly influence the quality of patient care. This study aims to identify strategies that professionals can use to develop their resilience and emotional intelligence, analyze the challenges and discuss how healthcare organizations support their employees. Regarding the methodology, it is an integrative bibliographic review of academic articles in data sources such as LILACS, MEDLINE, SciElo, PubMed and Google Scholar, using terms such as "resilience", "emotional intelligence", "healthcare professionals" and their corresponding terms in English such as “resilience”, “emotional intelligence” and “healthcare professionals”, with the Boolean operator “AND”. Complete studies, in Portuguese or English, from the last thirty years (1994-2024), reviews, clinical trials and meta-analyses were included. TCC, dissertation or theses or those not consistent with the objectives of the study were excluded. Developing resilience and emotional intelligence among healthcare professionals faces challenges such as the stigma associated with emotional vulnerability and the lack of resources and organizational support. Organizations must implement training and create a supportive culture to promote the effective development of these skills. The research achieved its objective by identifying strategies and challenges in developing resilience and emotional intelligence, highlighting the importance of support from healthcare organizations to maximize the well-being of professionals and the quality of care.
