This study aims to answer the following question: “Does the Lefort I technique in Orthognathic Surgery change the primary anatomy of soft tissues of the nose?”. This is an integrative review that was carried out in the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and Traumatology at the University of Pernambuco, Pernambuco, Brazil. The electronic databases PubMed, Web of Science and Scopus, using the official descriptors indexed in DeCS/MeSH Orthognathic Surgery, Nasal Cartilage and Post-Operative Period, with the help of the Boolean operators “OR” and “AND”. A total of 393 articles were selected for screening from the selected databases, of which 14 met the inclusion criteria of this study. It was possible to observe that Orthognathic Surgery causes changes in the nasal anatomy. However, the quality of predictability of these changes becomes variable. Therefore, more studies relating the changes perceived after Le Fort I osteotomies in the soft tissues of the nose are necessary.
