The present study aims to analyze sleep disorders and the quality of life of military firefighters in the city of Primavera do Leste, MT, and compare them with data from studies conducted in the same military unit in 2014. After that date, Complementary Law No. 555 of December 29, 2014, was implemented, providing greater rest for firefighters working in operational service. Thus, the study aims to analyze whether there has been a benefit to the quality of life of these military personnel. The research is characterized as descriptive and quantitative. The instruments used for data collection consisted of questionnaires with objective questions about sleep disorders and the quality of life assessment by the WHO – WHOQOL-bref. According to the research data, there was a significant improvement in the quality of life of military firefighters, where the average domains of quality of life were 61.44% in 2014, reaching 73.50% in 2021, reflecting the improvement in services provided to society by these professionals.
