Introduction: Analyzing mortality from acute myocardial infarction (AMI) in the different Brazilian regions between 2019 and 2021 is crucial, highlighting regional disparities and factors such as gender and age. AMI is a serious condition due to the death of heart cells caused by blocked blood flow. It stands out for its high prevalence and impact on public health, representing one of the main causes of global morbidity and mortality. Objective: The primary objective of this study will be to evaluate mortality from AMI in the different Brazilian regions between 2019 and 2021; and the secondary objective will be to evaluate mortality from AMI subdivided by gender and age group. Material and Method: Quantitative bibliographic study, where data from the Department of Informatics of the Unified Health System (DATASUS) were reviewed to evaluate AMI mortality in Brazilian regions between 2019 and 2021, analyzing gender and age group. Results: After analyzing the data found in DATASUS, regardless of the year we noticed a higher number of deaths in the Southeast region with a total of 130,397 out of a population of an average of 89 million inhabitants and a lower number of deaths in the North region, totaling 17,083. There was a higher prevalence of males (59%) and elderly patients over 60 years of age, with 215,648 deaths out of a total of 281,834 over the three years. Conclusion: Mortality from AMI was higher in the Southeast between 2019 and 2021. With a higher prevalence in men aged over 60 years.
