This work investigates the challenges faced by family, childhood and youth courts, professionals, focusing on the lack of assistance from public authorities and the precarious structure of shelter homes. The study seeks to understand the extent of these challenges and their implications for the families and children served. The objectives are to analyze the obstacles arising from the lack of state assistance, explore the inadequacy of the infrastructure of shelters and propose improvement measures. The methodology includes a bibliographical review to theoretically support the research, case studies carried out based on the presentation of subsequent research with professionals and managers of shelters. It is hoped that this study will contribute to a better understanding of the problems faced by Family Right professionals and provide support for more effective public policies and the improvement of family care structures.
