The constitutional missions of the Military Police are the overt police and the preservation of public order. On daily duty, the military police officer has several duties to perform. Nowadays, when citizens' rights are constitutionally protected, the Military Police must update their knowledge and inform everyone about the issue. The objective of this study is to explain the concepts of human rights and citizenship, and how these concepts are applied by the military police in the daily service of its components. Based on various doctrines that talk about human rights and citizenship, a general overview will be drawn about the main concepts related to the topic, aiming mainly to observe whether there is an affront to human rights and fundamental guarantees of citizens, in the daily service of public security. The question is: Currently, is the military police service different from what was carried out some time ago, based on the application of concepts of human rights and citizenship? Through bibliographical research, these concepts will be analyzed, according to different authors.
