Abstract

Human resource management is crucial for the operational effectiveness of armed forces, involving practices such as recruitment, continuous development, and recognition. This study aims to analyze the importance of human resource management practices in the military context, identifying challenges and proposing improvement strategies. A systematic literature review was conducted using rigorous inclusion and exclusion criteria to select relevant studies published in the last ten years. Findings indicate that rigorous recruitment practices ensure the selection of individuals capable of meeting military challenges, while continuous development programs enhance military performance and adaptability. However, improvements are needed in performance evaluation and recognition systems. Effective human resource management in the armed forces requires continuous adaptation to technological and social changes, as well as investments in development and training. Future studies should explore these areas to provide additional insights that can be applied globally.
