Breast cancer is one of the most common neoplasms among women worldwide, and its treatment often involves complex pharmacological therapies. In this context, the pharmacist's role goes beyond merely dispensing medications, playing a fundamental role in promoting patients' quality of life. This article aims to discuss the importance of the pharmacist in providing comprehensive care to women undergoing breast cancer treatment, addressing their activities in therapy monitoring, patient education, and the prevention and management of adverse effects. A literature review was conducted, including articles from 2017 to 2024. It was concluded that the pharmacist, as part of the multidisciplinary team, reduces medication errors and monitors adverse events, ensuring patient safety. Moreover, their involvement in clinical decisions and the promotion of a trusting relationship with the patient improves treatment adherence and quality of life. Therefore, the pharmacist's role is vital for comprehensive care in oncological treatment.
