Abstract

This Course Completion Work addresses palliative care in Home Care, with an emphasis on nursing performance.To research the role and challenges of nursing in managing patients in palliative care in Home Care. The research is bibliographic in nature, based on works published between 2019 and 2023, laws, manuals, ordinances and resolutions, regardless of the year of publication. works that met the established criteria were selected. We conclude that palliative care is extremely important for the patient/family, as it encompasses biopsychosocial and spiritual needs in care, from diagnosis to bereavement. In this sense, nursing and other professionals who make up the multidisciplinary teams that work in palliative care in home care, need permanent education to meet the uniqueness and complexity of palliation, as well as psychological care due to emotional overload.
