This academic production seeks to grasp a better understanding arround the pharmaceutical profile that acompanies pacients who suffer with rheumatoid arthritis. There are several classifications to medications that can be used in fighting this disease, including agentes that modify the outcome of the disease, which are more conventional, such as methrotrexate and sulfasalazine, in addition to the biologic medications available, for instance; tumoral necrosis fator inhibitors, and interleukin-6 inhibitor. In retrospect, the first line of treatment involves the contentional medications, while the biologic medications are used as a failsafe, reserved for the most severe cases of rheumatoid arthritis. That being explained, it is imperative to have a better understandig of how exactly pharmaceutical profile regarding the distribuition of both choices of treatment, even though both are supposed to enhance the quality of life of the patients, through less inflamation and controle of the disease.
