REALITY OF HEALTH CARE FOR CARRIAGE DRIVERS

Objectives: To investigate whether driver drivers receive help and support from private companies related to workers' health; Describe the importance of nursing care for truck drivers and identify the occupational risks that truck drivers are exposed to. Methodology: This is a descriptive and exploratory field research with a qualitative and quantitative approach. This research was conducted at BR 040 at a gas station in the city of Luziânia located in the state of Goiás. Data were collected through an individual interview, using a questionnaire with 18 questions prepared by the researcher. The study sample consisted of 20 truck drivers from private transport companies. Results: Among the results it was observed that most of them were over 40 years old, single with low education and did not receive any health care from the contracting companies and are exposed to long working hours and occupational risks. Conclusion: Truck drivers are subjected to a heavy workload and poor environmental conditions, endangering their health, highlights the importance of raising awareness of these professionals.
