This article sought to analyze the theories of justice of philosophers John Rawls and Ronald Dworkin, with the aim of carrying out a dialectical study on their impact on the application of affirmative actions. In this sense, we initially sought to contextualize each theory mentioned historically and spatially, listing the guiding concepts and foundations of the principle of equality, and finally, analyzing the possibility of these affirmative actions being compatible with that principle from the perspective of the thinkers brought here.
