This study addresses the importance of early diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). The objective is to review articles presenting strategies and methods for early diagnosis of ASD. The methodology used is a narrative literature review, including the search and analysis of scientific articles, books, and relevant legislation, using specific descriptors related to early ASD diagnosis. The results indicate that early detection is essential to implement effective interventions, such as behavioral and educational therapies, which can significantly improve the development and quality of life of children with ASD. The conclusion highlights the need for a comprehensive and individualized assessment to ensure an accurate diagnosis and timely interventions.
