This article aims to investigate the reality experienced by prisoners and the prison crisis. The central problem will be to analyze: that prison overcrowding constitutes a serious and continuous violation of the fundamental rights of people deprived of liberty and consequently how this will affect their resocialization? The general objective is based on the analysis of the prison crisis experienced in the current prison system. The specific objectives are to seek to discuss compliance with the principle of human dignity within prison units and highlight the lack of preparation of the Public Power in carrying out the resocialization of inmates. Finally, discuss the importance of complying with the Criminal Execution Law for resocialization. To carry out this article, the deductive and descriptive method was used, with theoretical foundations found in bibliographical research, such as public documents, books, scientific articles and internet data.
