Moral harassment, also known as bullying or mobbing, is a type of unfair treatment of an individual (or group of individuals) in the workplace, which harms or offends the victim, without having been provoked or encouraged by the target of the offenses, and which is repeated over time. The general objective of this research is to analyze the impacts of moral harassment in hierarchical environments and its consequences on the mental health of affected individuals. This is an exploratory research of a qualitative nature based on authors such as Hirigoyen (2006) and Alkimin (2007). Bullying in the workplace is an ancient practice, and as previously portrayed dates back to many eras and forms of organization in society, and for a long time it was treated as something common, but in recent decades it has gained notoriety. We sought to understand the factors that influence the incidence of psychological harassment and also the relationships involved in The implications arising from cases of moral harassment and psychological violence in the lives of victims are highly destructive and harmful to the mental health of those who are subjected to this type of practice, the psychosocial life of the individual is deeply affected. In this context, the Psychologist plays a fundamental role in the mediation of conflicts and in the promotion of strategies for the prevention and mitigation of moral harassment in the workplace. Key findings revealed that bullying, characterized by repetitive and disrespectful behavior, significantly undermines workers' dignity, self-esteem, and mental health.
