Abstract

This article addresses the impact of stress on the career of Military Police and the concerns associated with their retirement. Throughout the exhibition, the challenges faced by police officers are discussed, including the risk of mental and physical disorders arising from the demands of the profession. In addition, solutions and public policies are presented to promote a better quality of life after this professional goes to the paid reserve, such as retirement preparation programs, access to mental health services, encouraging the practice of physical and recreational activities, creation of social support networks among other strategies. The article highlights the importance of investing in the well-being of police officers throughout their careers, ensuring they are supported and resourced for a smooth transition into retirement and a fulfilling post-police life.
