The present work aims to bring Habermas' vision about the public sphere, making a counterpoint with the work of the South Korean living in Germany, Byung-Chul Han, Infocracy – Digitization and the Crisis of Democracy. Byung-Chul Han studied philosophy and literature in Germany, and from these studies the author demonstrates a great conflict between man and a supposed hidden enemy, which would be, according to him, technology and its ramifications. The bibliographical research approach is done from a simple perspective, on a complex topic, but very current and increasingly present in people's daily lives, showing the adversity of the informational process with democracy and the perspective on the future. It is concluded that Habermas' public sphere presents a certain similarity with the thought of Byung-Chul Han, however, Infocracy presents a much more pessimistic tone in relation to the future of democracy and humanity itself due to the problem of digitalization of data.
