Abstract

This article analyzed the interference of social networks and algorithms in the Brazilian educational context, the differences between the content available on digital media and the way in which the school approaches curricular themes, as well as the impacts that the use of devices cause in the process of teaching and student learning today. Through an exploratory study, it was possible to expand the understanding of this topic, considering how new technologies work to guarantee user interactivity and how the school can innovate and adapt to such trends, already configured as reality. In the research carried out, the motivation to navigate the digital universe stands out, driven by consumerism generated by algorithms, which contribute to students distancing themselves from pedagogical approaches to curricular content.
