Abstract

This study examines the logistical challenges in exporting humanitarian aid to South Sudan, proposing the use of technologies such as Artificial Intelligence and drones as tools to help overcome these barriers. Through an exploratory qualitative approach, we identified precarious infrastructure as the main obstacle. However, we have observed several areas where these technologies can be applied to help mitigate these challenges. We conclude that partnerships between humanitarian organizations, local governments, the private sector and affected communities are essential, as is investment in communications and energy infrastructure to support these solutions.
