Abstract

Objective: This study aims to identify the technologies most used by nurses in the prevention and treatment of pressure injury, since pressure injuries are importante epithelial complications that due to the lack of prevention require expensive treatment. Methodology: literature review through the use of databases Virtual Health Library (VHL), Medical Literature Analysis and Retrieval System Online (MEDLINE), Nursing Database (BDENF), Spanish Bibliographic Index in Health Sciences (IBECS), Latin American and Caribbean Literature in Health Sciences (LILACS), were consulted between March and May 2023, including only articles published in Portuguese, English and Spanish, available in full free of charge. Results: The consultation of the databases yielded the gathering of 15 articles, of which the largest numbers of publications were concentrated in the years 2018 and 2021. Conclusion: Low-pressure laser therapy was the safest and most efficient technique for healing pressure injuries and the one that was most effective in terms of faster healing time than normal. concomitant use with other coverings, such as: hydrofiber with silver, AGE and hydrogel.
