Abstract

Introduction: The implementation of new technologies in the hospital environment is constantly growing, as we evolve technologically, the demands increase to obtain greater safety in the use of equipment in hospital environments, focusing on patient safety. Objective: To describe the role of nurses involved in nursing management regarding clinical engineering, focusing on patient safety. Materials and Methods: The methodology of this work is qualitative with a descriptive approach, carrying out searches in specialized databases in the health area. Results: The study analysis addressed topics such as the use and handling of equipment by the nursing team and its consequences on patient safety. Conclusion: It was concluded that clinical engineering nurses demonstrate understanding of the subject of the hospital technology park and patient safety, as well as its positive or negative influence on the nursing team in the construction of safer care.
