Skin cancer is a public health issue with increasing global incidence. This study highlights the importance of early diagnosis, effective treatment, and prevention strategies to combat this disease. The research adopted a methodology of integrative literature review, using the PICO strategy to guide the search for relevant evidence. The results emphasize the significance of early diagnosis and screening to identify suspicious lesions, reducing complications and improving patient survival. Additionally, prevention strategies, such as raising awareness about sun protection and implementing preventive measures, are essential in reducing the risk of developing skin cancer. The conclusion underscores the need for an integrated and collaborative approach among governments, healthcare professionals, and society to address this public health challenge.
