Introduction: Parasports shooting is a modality originating from Olympic shooting whose practice is conditioned by a series of physical characteristics that determine eligibility and performance. Objective: To review the scientific literature on physical characteristics related to parasports shooting eligibility and performance. Bibliographical Review: The literature demonstrates that physical characteristics necessary for the practice of parasports shooting are deficiencies that include impaired muscle power, limb deficiency, hypertonia, ataxia, athetosis, impaired passive range of movement and difference in leg length, being listed as physical characteristics determining the results, those named anthropometric profile, muscular strength, balance and cardiorespiratory endurance. Conclusion: Evaluators and coaches must pay attention to the physical characteristics related to eligibility and performance for the implementation of evaluation processes and training programs in the parasports shooting.
