This study focuses on nursing care provided to NBs in the Neonatal ICU using non-pharmacological methods. The main objective is to evaluate the impact of these strategies on the clinical experience of newborns, with an emphasis on increasing comfort, promoting healthy development and physiological stabilization. To achieve this objective, the study also seeks to identify and analyze the challenges faced by nursing professionals when applying these approaches. It seeks to contribute to a better understanding of the effectiveness of non-pharmacological interventions by improving the quality of care offered to newborns in the Neonatal ICU. This is a bibliographic review study with a descriptive approach, which directs research by analyzing information on an already known subject, providing new views of this reality. The Scientific Electronic Library Online (SCIELO) virtual health library databases were used, where a search was carried out for articles published through online search, using the descriptors “Pain”, “Newborn”, “Neonatal ICU” , “Nursing” and the Technical Manual of the Ministry of Health on ''Humanized Care for Newborns''. The results of this research have the potential to provide valuable insights for nursing professionals, health managers and researchers in the neonatal area, contributing to the application of good clinical practices in the neonatal ICU. Furthermore, it can serve as a basis for the development of guidelines and institutional policies that promote the more effective integration of non-pharmacological methods in neonatal care, aiming to optimize clinical results and the well-being of this population.
