Chronic Kidney Disease entails the progressive loss of renal function and is a serious global health issue, associated with numerous deaths among chronic diseases. This study aimed to investigate hospitalization rates for this condition in Paraná from 2012 to 2022. Using the governmental platform DATASUS, an analytical, observational, longitudinal study was conducted to obtain comprehensive epidemiological data. Statistical analyses, including measures of central tendency, dispersion, among others, identified patterns over the study period. Of the 83,577 admissions analyzed, cases were predominantly among white males aged 50 to 69, with the eastern region of Paraná showing the highest concentration. There was a gradual increase in cases during the decade, with a decline in 2020-2022, possibly associated with the COVID-19 pandemic. This study underscores the importance of awareness, prevention, early treatment of Chronic Kidney Disease, and public health strategies to address this growing challenge in Paraná.
