INCLUSION OF NURSING UNDERGRADUATES IN THE SCIENTIFIC INITIATION PROGRAM: A REFLECTION STUDY

Introduction: Nursing graduates need to rely on training in the construction of scientific knowledge to ensure adequate and qualified assistance for the population they will assist. Objective: This study aims to gather information to help and encourage the importance that scientific research may have in the lives of undergraduates after graduation. Methodology: An integrated literature review was carried out, aiming to collect and summarize the scientific knowledge already developed on this topic to better understand it. Analysis and discussion of results: The research demonstrates that there is significant importance for incorporating the scientific initiation program in universities. In this way, by adding scientific initiation programs, Brazil made it possible to open up experiences in teaching, research and extension. Therefore, transforming the student researcher into a more critical and technical researcher. Nursing continues to demonstrate that it obtains a range of scientific production, being one of the professions that carries out the most research. Conclusion: Finally, it is highlighted that the program allows the creation of a new perspective, way of thinking, acting and opens up a range of possibilities, better professional opportunities, greater foundation for the assistance of professionals who are on the front line of healthcare.
