The present research has as its theme the use of notarial minutes in the digital environment, in the digital environment, characterized by the volatility and manipulability of data, the question arises about the adaptability of the notarial minutes, a traditional instrument of public faith, to guarantee authenticity and the integrity of online information. Therefore, the following question arises: can notarial minutes provide a safe and reliable record of digital transactions and interactions, serving as evidence in legal proceedings? By giving public faith to records made by notaries, it acts as a safeguard against the spread of false information. The general objective is to explore the adaptation and effectiveness of notarial minutes in the digital environment, with specific objectives focused on examining current legislation, identifying technological, legal and practical challenges, and proposing recommendations to improve their use. Using a qualitative approach, the methodology included a review of legislation and a critical review of literature on digital authentication and combating disinformation. The results indicate that, despite the challenges, digital notary records have significant potential to ensure the authenticity and integrity of digital information. Recommendations were formulated to guide future legislation and notarial practices, ensuring legal security in the digital environment.
