This research aimed to examine access to justice in Brazil, focusing on the complex issues that involve the realization of citizens' fundamental rights. Access to justice is a fundamental element of a democratic legal system and has profound implications for equality, social justice and the protection of human rights. The main barriers that hinder access to justice were investigated, including economic, social and legal obstacles that limit people's ability to seek the protection of their rights. The research also focused on social vulnerability and disparities in access to justice, with a special analysis of marginalized groups. Another focus was the functioning of the Brazilian judicial system, identifying possible deficiencies that lead to delays and inefficiency in resolving disputes. Public policies related to access to justice were also addressed to assess their impact on improving access and promoting equity. The aim was to offer insights and recommendations to improve access to justice in Brazil, confirming its importance in strengthening the Rule of Law and ensuring the equal application of fundamental rights. The aim was to contribute to a deeper understanding of these issues and serve as a basis for future studies and development of more appropriate public policies in this fundamental area of law.
