The integration of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) in the educational context highlighted the growing presence of technological devices in the hands of students. This led to an expansion of ICT beyond temporal and spatial limitations, becoming a fundamental part of daily life for students, educators, parents, and society at large. The digital culture promoted by ICT is emphasized for its potential to enhance new forms of interaction but also introduce new risks, such as cyberbullying, data theft, and misuse of information. The lack of knowledge among network users is pointed out as a key factor in this context, indicating that ICTs also pose risks to their users, both in personal and educational spheres. The research aims to highlight risks and challenges of ICTs in the educational context as indicated in the literature, primarily concerning digital security. The adopted methodology involves a systematic literature review, with inclusion and exclusion criteria to select relevant articles, resulting in a deeper understanding of risk behaviors and challenges for educators. Justified by the fact that identifying risks and challenges enables the development of strategies to overcome them and mitigate the involved risks. The results point to the challenge of educators' insecurity in handling ICTs and the risks involving the exposure of students' data and images.
