Dental trauma in deciduous conditions is characterized by common accidents in early childhood, affected by physical, chemical or psychological impact, being considered an aesthetic-functional problem that can promote irreversible changes in characteristics, such as: dental, periodontal or bone. Therefore, professionals must be aware of the different types of dental trauma and their future consequences that may occur. The problem to be discussed is: Is treatment management effective for dental and emotional complications? In this sense, dental trauma in children is a challenging approach in relation to the young age of the respective patient and the emergency care conditions of LTDs. Analyzing this context, the study was guided, with the general objective of evaluating the consequences of dentoalveolar trauma in the deciduous dentition and its impacts on the permanent dentition, with the specific objectives being to understand the classifications of injuries with their appropriate diagnosis and treatment, discuss the etiology of the childhood trauma and address the epidemiology and prevalence of trauma. This research is a methodology with a qualitative approach and bibliographic research based on scientific articles published in English, in the PUBMED and SCIELO databases, in the period from 2009 to 2023, in addition, books that refer to descriptive studies were used. In view of this, the expected results are to understand the complexity of dentoalveolar trauma and its implications, in which systemic clinical and radiographic monitoring is necessary, as well as seeking alternative treatments for the teeth involved, since the sequelae of the predecessors, it can be analyzed carefully, thus avoiding major consequences for the entire stomatognathic system.
