Introduction: Treating wounds in elderly individuals with type 2 diabetes in the hospital setting is a growing challenge. Nursing plays a crucial role in this care. Justification: This study addresses the importance of nursing in this context, aiming to improve healthcare for this vulnerable population. Objective: To analyze the role of nursing in wound management in elderly individuals with type 2 diabetes in the hospital setting. Methods: An integrative literature review was conducted, selecting 148 relevant articles from various databases. Results: Highlight the importance of nursing in the holistic approach to wound care in elderly individuals with type 2 diabetes. Discussions: Emphasize the need for further research and interventions to promote a more humanized approach in this care. Conclusion: Nursing plays a vital role in wound management in elderly individuals with type 2 diabetes; however, more studies are needed for an even more humanized approach.
