Introduction: The importance of nursing in riverside communities during drought is highlighted. Justification: Drought affects the health of riverside populations, and nursing plays a vital role in mitigating these effects. Objective: To investigate the impacts of drought on health and evaluate nursing intervention strategies. Methods: Integrative literature review between 2018 and 2023. Results: Identification of health impacts and intervention strategies implemented by nursing. Discussions: Emphasis on the importance of interdisciplinary collaboration and the sustainability of interventions. Conclusions: It is concluded that nursing is essential, but further investments in research and public policies are needed.
