Abstract

The family in past times carried with it the definition that it was the formation of husband, wife and children, that is in a traditional concept. Over the centuries, it has always been recognized in this way, however, over the years it has evolved, such a concept was modified by the new Federal Constitution of 1988, the first to bring a broader definition of family, in this, not only was considered that family traditionally formed by parents and children, but also those who have emotional ties. Having registered the framework of family law, the need arose to deal in more detail in relation to families, thus, civil law became the branch responsible for working on the coexistence of this area. However, the recognition of family groups is not an easy topic, as it involved a series of rights, including social inclusion, as the new groups undergo a great deal of description, among other points that will be addressed throughout this article. Finally, it is important to demonstrate the new family modalities present in society, as well as the challenges faced to guarantee the right to social inclusion.
