Abstract

Organizations are always looking for suitable leadership models. To this end, they spare no effort in identifying an effective leader. This leader is the one who always leads his team with a vision of positive results that add value to the institution. To do this, you need different skills, that is, the ability to interpret what is happening internally and externally in the organization; understand human behavior with regard to people in the organization. Therefore, this study aimed to analyze leadership styles in the organizational environment. To achieve the objective, a review of the literature available as a research source was developed. The results point to the fact that leaders perform a variety of functions, such as: director, manager, supervisor, administrator, supervisor, employees and, depending on the position they occupy, they exercise some type of formal or informal leadership. It concludes that leaders have enormous influence on the company's results as they are capable of transforming organizations.
